Meet the new Regent, Jonah Elisofon!

We are incredibly grateful and excited to introduce Jonah Elisofon as our Regent this semester!

Meet Jonah

Jonah is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering and is from Menlo Park, California. Jonah decided to rush Theta Tau because after a fully online freshman year, he was looking to meet more people with similar interests. When he found out about Theta Tau, he knew it was for him; a tight-knit community of engineers and like-minded individuals was precisely what he was looking for!

Experience in Theta Tau

Previously, Jonah held positions as Birthday Chair and Rush Chair. Jonah thinks that being Rush Chair really helped him fine-tune his organizational skills. Over the summer in the weeks leading up to Rush, he was preparing presentations, and the entire week he was managing large groups of people. Regent helps him utilize these skills as he now has nearly 70 members to keep track of, and he’s enjoying every second of it! Jonah’s favorite part of Theta Tau is the friends he’s made in the last year and a half! He thinks it’s so nice to see a friendly face in nearly every single one of his classes as well as hanging out with them at brotherhood events too.

Moving Forward

This semester, Jonah wants to continue to foster the inclusive community that he found after the COVID year and bring our members closer together through our three pillars; brotherhood, community service, and professional development. He wants to continue the positive momentum Rachel started during her Regency.

Jonah’s advice to people rushing is to be yourself! During rush week it’s not only about prospective members learning about our organization, but also us learning about prospective members as people. We want to make sure you are a good fit with our core values and members, so talk to our brothers, and let them get to know you!

We look forward to the incredible leadership that Jonah will provide this semester. Congratulations and good luck Jonah!
