Meet the New Regent Morgan Sterns

It’s been a long summer break but the Theta Tau brothers are eager to see what the new semester brings with our new regent Morgan Sterns! Morgan is a junior from Germantown, Wisconsin studying Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics. Morgan says she ran for regent because, “I saw so many members with this great potential that can go overlooked when the chapter gets larger. I want to make sure everyone is being heard.”

Why Theta Tau

When asked why Morgan joined Theta Tau, she said, “I honestly never expected to join Theta Tau. At national convention one of our keynote speakers had us say the name of the person that is the reason we joined. While there’s so many people that were influential in my pledge process, Nick Lawrence really showed me the support brotherhood can provide. My marshalls and entire pledge class also made me confident in the decision.”

“I love Theta Tau because of the members. It wouldn’t be the same without every single person I have met through it. Any aspect of life I feel I need to improve on, there is always a member I can look up to that is willing to help me get there. It brings together groups you wouldn’t usually expect to blend so well together and truly makes a family within such a large school. It all sounds so cliche and trust me I’m the last person that would say things like this, so brotherhood is ~real~”

Her Goals

“As regent I’m excited to have the opportunity to bring our chapter to it’s full potential. With our recent growth there are so many new ideas and incredibly bright people. I want to use that to benefit everyone. Attending national convention really helped me realize we can excel in all of the fields Theta Tau was founded on. For example, I want to use professional development to also help with fundraising, so hosting info sessions for employers or volunteering with other professional student organizations.”

Morgan has so many great ideas for Xi chapter but her main goal for this semester is to make sure every member is heard and that their ideas are brought into light. She says, “There’s so many more ideas our chairs have already come forward with and I’m so excited for everyone to share them throughout the semester.”

We can’t wait to see the new things Morgan has in store for Theta Tau Xi Chapter for this semester. Good luck Morgan!
